Dragon - Fury

This mixed media composition represents the enraged dragon as well as the turbulent state of the human mind, when it is at the peak of its ferocity. When in rage, the dragon fills its belly with smouldering embers, depicted by the luminous hues of yellow and red of its abdominal muscles. As the frenzy builds up, the fuming embers ascend the gut and illuminate the gullet of the ferocious creature. The storm continues to build inside, until it cannot be held back anymore by the dragon (in other words, the human mind), and inevitably explodes like a volcanic eruption. This wrath is depicted in the form of molten flames emerging from the dragon's mouth. The process for this involved melting wax crayons over the canvas in a gradient from yellow to red.

NEHA SINGH.  A Fashion Designer by professional qualification and a self-taught artist who is passionate about innovating, I found my calling in art and decided to delve into the depths of this exquisite form of self-expression. Although I specialize in oil paints as a medium, my work also includes other media like acrylics, precisely the technique of acrylic pouring. I have been painting and creating original works of art from whatever inspires me at the spur of the moment. I like to experiment with different techniques of painting, with an aim to create texture in my art pieces, thereby giving them a three-dimensional effect. I am highly fascinated by colors, hence most of my artworks have a vibrant color palette. Apart from oils and acrylics, I do try my hand with dry mediums like chalk pastels, charcoal, and pencil color every once in a while. I have tried my level best to hone my skills and expand my horizons. It is my endeavor to produce unique works of art with a tactile feel, which are not only realistic in nature but also a visual and symbolic representation of the intangible.
