Dragon - The Fire Within

This abstract artwork has been created using the Acrylic Pouring technique and gets “inside the skin” of the beast, literally and of the human mind, figuratively. Under the impenetrable crust of the scales, a fire blazes within the belly of this colossal creature, simmering in a broth of molten flames. This molten blaze is a metaphor for the turbulent storm raging within the mind of an infuriated human. The tempest continues to brew inside the fiery precipice, churning and seething, threatening to spew forth its impending doom. The Pour and Swipe method of acrylic pouring has been used here to depict this smoldering inferno. The color palette comprises of warm tones of fire, namely yellow, orange and red, with black acting as a contrast.

NEHA SINGH.  A Fashion Designer by professional qualification and a self-taught artist who is passionate about innovating, I found my calling in art and decided to delve into the depths of this exquisite form of self-expression. Although I specialize in oil paints as a medium, my work also includes other media like acrylics, precisely the technique of acrylic pouring. I have been painting and creating original works of art from whatever inspires me at the spur of the moment. I like to experiment with different techniques of painting, with an aim to create texture in my art pieces, thereby giving them a three-dimensional effect. I am highly fascinated by colors, hence most of my artworks have a vibrant color palette. Apart from oils and acrylics, I do try my hand with dry mediums like chalk pastels, charcoal, and pencil color every once in a while. I have tried my level best to hone my skills and expand my horizons. It is my endeavor to produce unique works of art with a tactile feel, which are not only realistic in nature but also a visual and symbolic representation of the intangible.
